How to determine the quality of water-based defoamers

Most water-based coating manufacturers believe that there is a problem of how to choose a good and suitable water-based defoamer for their own products. It is recommended that you judge from the following aspects.
1. See compatibility
After adding the defoamer to the product, stir and observe the speed of phase solubility. Observe whether the phase solubility is good, as poor phase solubility can have an impact on the product.
2. Check the anti foaming time of defoamers
As an defoamer, having good defoaming and anti foaming performance is necessary and also one of the basic requirements. We can add the same amount of water-based defoamer to the same foaming system to observe its defoaming speed and inhibition time to determine the quality of water-based defoamers.
3. Check the defoaming effect
After adding defoamer, observe the speed of defoaming. Under the same amount of addition, the faster the defoaming speed, the better.
4. Check if defoamers affect product quality
We can observe through experiments whether water-based defoamers will affect the system products. If they do not affect the system products, we can determine that the quality of water-based defoamers is not a problem in this regard.
