Precautions For The Use Of Water-based Dispersants

Water based dispersants are very beneficial for the dispersion of substances, but if used improperly, they can have very adverse effects and cause product defects.
1. Choose the appropriate water-based dispersant: Some water-based dispersants can only be used for liquid coatings, and if used for solid particles, it will affect the performance of the product.
2. It is necessary to choose an appropriate addition method: because water-based dispersants are added to the system, without high-speed grinding or dispersion, they will not have a dispersing effect.
3. Pay attention to the dosage of water-based dispersant: If the dosage of water-based dispersant is insufficient, the distance between particles will be less than the minimum safe distance, so the cohesion between particles will ultimately affect glossiness and viscosity, and affect the final coloring effect.
① General pigments: 0.5% to 1.5%;
② Iron oxide series pigments: 4% to 8%;
③ Latex paint: 0.3%~0.5%.


Performance and application:
1. Water based dispersants are easily soluble in water and can be mixed with various surfactants. Acid resistant, alkali resistant, hard water resistant, with good dispersibility and emulsifying properties.
2. Water based dispersants are used as strong dispersants in bath dyeing of wool/nitrile blended fabrics.
3. Using acidic and cationic dyes as anti precipitation agents
4. It can endow the dispersed system with better storage stability, maintain the stability of system viscosity, and prevent the dispersed pigment from re flocculation, deposition, and agglomeration.
5. Can be used in combination with non-ionic wetting agents to achieve the most suitable wetting and dispersing effect, and to prevent floating flowers and frost
