Classification of paint additives

Modern paint additives can be divided into four types:
1) Additives that affect the production process of coatings, such as defoamers, wetting agents, dispersants, emulsifiers, etc.
2) Additives that affect the storage process of coatings, such as anti skinning agents, anti precipitation agents, etc.
3) Additives that act during the film-forming process of coating construction, such as drying agents, curing agents, leveling agents, anti sagging agents, etc.
4) Additives that affect the performance of coatings, such as plasticizers, smoothing agents, mold inhibitors, flame retardants, anti-static agents, UV absorbers, etc.
