(Alternative to ACRYSOL RM-8)

 

SURFADIOLS RM-8 is an APEO-free, hydrophobically modified ethylene oxide urethane (HEUR) rheology modifier. This is an efficient mid-shear (KU) builder.

Special properties

 

1. Strong association type, performs high viscosity and strong pseudo-plasticity at low shear

2. Excellent fluidity and leveling property

3. Excellent dispersion to help wetting and dispersing the pigments in the formula

4. Non-ionic, cannot be influenced by the PH value in the system

5. Have no bad effect on the gloss of the formulated products

Water-based paint, water-based adhesive and water-based color paste

Incorporation and Processing Instructions

1. Associating thickening is affected by temperature. The lower temperature, the relatively higher viscosity. The higher temperature, the relatively lower viscosity. Temperature condition should be considered when designing the formula.

2. When being batch changed by thickening materials, the product should be experimented again to ensure the amount of the thickening agent.

3. The product will occur crystallization under low temperature, but the crystallization doesn't influence the product's performance. Once the crystallization occurs, the product should be heated to make it molten before using.

Package and storage

 

The standard package is 25kg pails, 18 pails per pallet.

Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place under temperature of 5- 35°C.

When stored in an original unopened packaging, the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
